Privacy Policy

Stone Relic is a small studio that makes consumer products made to last. Our current products are Relic Timer, an iOS attention-and-focus timer, and Dedicated, a personalized scheduled-SMS service for sending small gestures to the people you care about.

This policy describes how Stone Relic handles the information collected by these products and by our website at stonerelic.net.

Relic Timer (iOS). Session history, settings, and aggregate statistics are stored locally on your device. We do not require an account. We do not transmit your personal session data to our servers.

Dedicated (web). When you create a dedication we collect the recipient label (e.g. “Mom”), photos you choose to include, the written message you compose, your first name (used in the outbound SMS), the recipient’s phone number, and your scheduling preferences (date, time, timezone, send method). We do not require accounts. We do not collect identifiers from senders beyond what you voluntarily provide.

When you schedule a dedication you confirm you have the recipient’s permission to text them, and we record that confirmation alongside the dedication.

Website. When you visit stonerelic.net we may collect standard request metadata such as IP address and user agent through our hosting provider.

We use the information we collect exclusively to operate our products: to render the keepsake page for a Dedicated SMS, to deliver one SMS per dedication at the scheduled time, to render stonerelic.net, and to improve our products through anonymous analytics.

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for marketing. We do not share it with advertisers.

Mobile information (including phone numbers and SMS opt-in data) is not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

We share information only with the services we use to operate our products:

• An SMS delivery provider receives the recipient’s phone number and the message body for Dedicated, in order to send the dedication SMS.
• Our hosting provider receives standard request metadata such as IP address and user agent.
• An anonymous product analytics provider helps us improve the experience. It does not receive message contents or recipient phone numbers.

Scheduled dedications are retained until you cancel them or until they are delivered. Delivered dedications remain accessible at their unique link unless you request deletion. Relic Timer data stays on your device until you remove the app.

You may cancel a scheduled dedication at any time before it sends. To request deletion of any other data we hold, email us at the address below.

Our products are not intended for use by anyone under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we revise the date at the top of this page. If you keep using our products after a change, you are agreeing to the updated policy.
